Brown and Dow strike twice as Luton win seven-goal match

James Brown and John Dow scored twice apiece as Luton Town beat Barnsley 5–2. Herbert Armson had put Barnsley ahead at 52 minutes from Joe Eldred’s assist. James Brown answered at 60 and 67, John Dow scored at 74, and Tom Gosling briefly reduced the deficit at 75.

John Dow scored again at ninety minutes and John Eckford converted a penalty at 93 to complete Luton’s five. Teddy Daw made three saves and Joe Greaves six. William T Barnes and Tom Nixon were cautioned; no injury or dismissal was recorded. The replay finished at 93 minutes.
